Night Elf Priest

woot! it's finally finished.
Night elf priest healing in the hills of ashenvale (sort of).

this is the result of

all put together ( [link] ) and colored.

This piece measures 11 x 14 (roughly) and required about 60 hours of work over a months execution, utilization pencil and photoshop. (and some illustrator for inking the body of the priest).

Overall, I'm happy with the piece, particularly the detail of the armor and the visceral appeal of the spellcast. I'm a little surprised at the pose, it's a little stiffer than what i originally intended when i conceptualized this piece, but it is evocative of the beauty of classical poses of antiquity (think kore ).


After completing this project- i can't wait to get to some speed painting and doing some roughs.
